Delete your Our Story account

You can ask us to delete your Our Story account and the data held with it. You can do this here, on the web, without installing or opening the Android app.

How to request it

Sign in, open your account settings, and type your email address to confirm. Deletion starts from there.

What happens then

Your request is recorded straight away and the account is scheduled for deletion after a 14 day pause. You can cancel during the pause by signing in and cancelling the request. After it runs, the account and its data are gone and we cannot restore them.

What we keep, and why

A few records outlive the account because the law requires it, such as billing records kept for tax purposes and moderation records of a decision made about reported content. Signing in and using the data export shows you the full list for this account before you decide.
